3D chat name: CyberNet Worlds
Time of visit:
Between 2:00 - 4:00 a.m. (central time zone in the US) Sunday, July 21st, 2002.
Do you recommend this program to people?
No!
Do they have voice chat?
No.
Can the program be used for free?
Yes, as a tourist.
Cost per year for a full user if they sign up now:
It was $19.95 per year, but personally, I don't think it's worth even using for free it if it has goreans in it. Ugh!
How many people in the program at the time of the visit?
180. Or so it said on the Website... But I'm not that trusting, for some odd reason.
Cost of a world:
P-10 (the only size they had listed, which may be the only size they can sell): 15 simultaneous users will cost $179.95 for the first year.
How many worlds are there or were seen in the world list at the time of the visit?
60. Of them, only 31 were public, and of them, only 3 had people in them.
Is there gor (people who are into slavery) stuff there?
Yes. :-( Which is the main reason I don't recommend it. If they didn't have gor there, they'd probably have a lot more customers, but they don't seem concerned about that, or keeping children safe.
If you create your own avatar, can you use it in all the worlds?
No.
Can you customize the avatars they provide to you for free and use them in all the worlds?
No.
What about privacy?
As far as I know, the same as ActiveWorlds.
Can I get a tour of the program?
Doubtful. Frankly though, I didn't bother asking. And I didn't really care about this universe or the people in it since it has gor worlds in it.
Are they fair to everyone, or do they have double standards?
Wasn't interested in finding out since they had gor worlds there. But because they do, I think it's a safe bet that the gors have a good deal of control over the program.
Did you make a Web page for more information on the program?
No. I used to recommend people to CyberNet Worlds in the past, but after I learned they have gor worlds in it, I no longer do. After they go out of business, which may not take too long, I'll simply remove this portion of my review page, and they can then return to obscurity and everybody will shortly forget about them.
What are the people like in this program?
Seem to be the same as AW. :-(
Where's their official Web site?
Not going to give it out. Besides, this is one of those Websites designed by some person that didn't test it with all the main Web browsers. For example, anyone going to it using Mozilla with JavaScript turned off to avoid surprises like pop-up ads will be given a blank page. No links, no pictures, no nothing. Which is great for the other 3D chat programs, as it means CyberNet Worlds will lose more potential customers. ;-) So, this program may be going out of business sooner than expected, as many people are switching to Mozilla, and the best way to avoid pop-up ads is to turn off JavaScript. But, I'm not going to tell CyberNet Worlds, that...
Are there any specific places you would recommend people visit in this program?
Nope. Don't like this universe, anyway. I consider it to be a waste of time.
Screenshots of the 3D chat program.
Haven't taken any screenshots, yet. Probably won't, because I'm not interested in going there anymore.
Entertainment in this 3D chat program:
Don't know, and don't care.
Additional comments, if any:
IMHO, any program that allows people who are into modern day slavery to buy worlds to live this lifestyle and try to recruit slaves into it within their program should not be surprised when people decide to use other programs.
